Lorem Ipsum is a simple demo text for the print and type industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the standard demo text in the industry since 1500, when an unknown writer took a handful of words and jumbled them together to create a specimen book. Not only has it survived for 5 centuries, but it has also made it into electronic type editing (note, virtually unchanged).

It became popular in 1960, with the release of „Letraset“, which included passages from Lorem Ipsum, as did desktop software such as „Aldus PageMaker“ – also with Lorem Ipsum.
