What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is a simple demo text for the print and type industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the standard demo text in the industry since 1500, when an unknown writer took a handful of words and jumbled them together to create a specimen book. Not only has it survived for 5 centuries, but it has also made it into electronic type editing (note, virtually unchanged). It became popular in 1960, with the release of „Letraset“, which included passages from Lorem Ipsum, as did desktop software such as „Aldus PageMaker“ – also with Lorem Ipsum.
Why do we use it?
It is a long proven fact that a reader is distracted from the text when looking at a layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it more or less represents the normal arrangement of letters and therefore looks like readable language. Many desktop publishers and web editors now use Lorem Ipsum as the default text, and searching the internet for „lorem ipsum“ also reveals many websites where it still appears. There are now several versions of Lorem Ipsum, some accidental, others deliberate (influenced by wit and personal taste)
Where can I get it?
There are many variations of the passages of Lorem Ipsum, but the main part has suffered changes in some form, through humor or random words that don’t look even remotely believable. If you are using a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you should be careful that there are no unwanted words in the middle of the text. Many of the generators on the internet tend to repeat prefabricated pieces – which made it necessary to develop a real generator.
